Triathlon is a challenging sport that can really push you to the limits of your athletic abilities. The sport involves a continuous swim, cycle and run with the distances varying depending on the competition you’re entering into, from sprint to long distance triathlons.

The fact that triathlon contains three distinct sports means you are exercising lots of different parts of your body, not only in competition but in the months of hard training running up to the event. The most common injuries are as a result of overuse or overtraining. And unfortunately, accidents do happen from time to time, often caused by the general hazards of training on roads and pavements.

For example, if you take part in triathlons abroad we offer worldwide triathlon insurance. If you’ve invested in sports equipment our accessories option will cover up to £2,000 worth*. And if your injury means you can’t work, the loss of earnings option can give you a weekly allowance while you’re off.
