Why do I need gym member insurance?
Whether you’re doing cardio or strength training, you’re at a high risk of injury when you’re pushing your body to its limits.
Even with proper form, there’s constant pressure on your knees and joints and one slip could stop you being able to exercise or affect your ability to work. There’s even a chance you could injure somebody else or damage their property and be held responsible.
That’s why you need gym member insurance. We can help you with the unexpected costs of an injury or compensation claim, so you can focus on getting back on track.
With Insure4Sport, you can create your gym member insurance policy from a range of cover options, including; Personal Accident, Public Liability, Professional Indemnity, Loss of Earnings, Equipment and Employers’ Liability.
What does gym member insurance cover?
Personal Accident covers you if you require treatment:
When you’re training at the gym, there’s always the possibility of overdoing it and injuring yourself.
If this happens, you need Personal Accident cover. This compensates you for accidental death, permanent disablement and loss of limbs as a result of your gym related injury. You’re also covered for broken bones, loss of sight, dental treatment, hospital admission and physiotherapy.
- As part of our Personal Accident cover, we also offer the option of Loss of Earnings cover, meaning you’ll be financially supported if you’re out of action.
Public Liability protects you against third-party injury or property damage:
When you’re at the gym, it’s likely you’re sharing it with other people and using equipment belonging to the gym.
Even if you’re really careful, there’s a chance you could accidentally injure somebody else or damage the gym’s equipment.
If this happens, Public Liability protects your legal liability if a claim is made against you.
- We offer Public Liability cover for up to £1 million, £2 million, £5 million or £10 million.
Compensation for equipment repairs and replacements:
The fitness industry is bigger than ever and the equipment on the market is only getting better and more expensive.
Imagine if your gym equipment was lost, stolen or damaged and you desperately needed repairs or replacements. Without Equipment cover, you’d have to pay for replacements out of your own pocket.
- We even provide cover for items less than a year old on a new-for-old basis.
