Why do I need cricket insurance?
Cricket can be a very fast game and painful injuries are part of the sport. You could be one mistimed shot away from hurting someone or damaging third party property. What’s more, your equipment could be lost, stolen or damaged before, during or after a match.
Insure4Sport’s specialist cricket insurance protects teams and players from these situations, so you can concentrate on the game with a clear head.
What does cricket insurance cover?
Public Liability cover against injury or property damage:
Whether you’re a batter, bowler, or both, you are at risk of injuring someone when playing cricket., As such, you might find yourself fielding a costly compensation claim.
On top of this, you might take a shot which accidentally damages someone’s car or breaks a window.
Insure4Sport’s Public Liability protects your legal accountability if a claim is made against you.
Personal Accident cover if you require treatment:
Even the most experienced cricketer can suffer injuries such as dislocated fingers, ankle sprains, head injuries and more. Insure4Sport’s Personal Accident cover compensates cricketers if they require physiotherapy or dental treatment for injuries. We will also financially compensate you should you require a hospital stay or break a bone. Extra cover is available for Loss of Earnings if required.
Compensation for equipment repairs and replacements:
You can’t send a batsman to wicket without the proper equipment, and if any of your cricket kit is lost, stolen or damaged, your team could be sitting on the boundary indefinitely.
Thanks to Insure4Sport’s Equipment Cover, your equipment can be repaired or replaced with minimal disruption, so you’ll be playing again in no time.
- We offer free cover on the first £250 worth of equipment. This means for example, if you wish to insure £750 of equipment, you will only pay for £500 worth.
- If the item is less than one year old - and it was bought new - we’ll replace it New-for-Old. We’ll replace items or make repairs up to the figure stated in your Insurance Schedule.
