Why do I need paragliding insurance?
A running launch or a towed launch – no matter how you get up in the air, strap on Insure4Sport’s market-leading paragliding insurance first.
As paragliding can cause bumps, bruises, breaks and worse, it’s no wonder paragliding insurance is becoming increasingly popular. Here’s how our paragliding insurance can give you the peace of mind to take every launch without holding back.
What does paragliding instructor insurance cover?
Public Liability cover against injury or property damage: As a paragliding instructor you need Public Liability, given the potential risks of your profession.
Paragliders may be lightweight, but that doesn’t prevent the risk of serious injury or damage to property if things take a turn for the worst. Since the lower body is unprotected, there is always the risk of someone in your care getting injured when you’re performing a low-altitude manoeuvre.
With our Public Liability cover, you will have:
- Instructor level Public Liability cover worth up to £10 million.
- This includes up to £1 million of free Professional Indemnity cover for instructors if you are deemed to have given negligent advice.
Personal Accident cover if you require treatment: There’s no such thing as a risk-free paraglide. Even with a smooth freefall, you could injure yourself on landing, which is the most dangerous part of paragliding.
That’s why our paragliding insurance offers you tailored Personal Accident cover, to make any incidents as hassle-free as possible.
- Insure4Sport’s Personal Accident cover for paragliding instructors starts from £10,000 cover to £50,000.
- We can also provide Loss of Earnings cover of up to £750 a week for a period of up to 52 weeks.
Compensation for equipment repairs and replacements: To ensure your paraglide is as smooth as possible, you need the right equipment in the right condition. That’s why Insure4Sport’s Equipment cover is designed to protect your kit against every eventuality.
- We’ll cover your equipment for loss, theft or damage for kit up to £250, with bespoke quotes available for equipment over £2,000.
- Kit bought from new that’s less than a year old, we’ll replace on a New-for-Old basis. We’ll also pay for repairs and replacements up to the maximum stipulated in your Insurance Schedule.
